Schools Close Before Storm Drops A Flake
Many in the
Urbana region woke this morning, peered out their windows and
found nothing. Nothing on the ground (other than the
disappearing remnants of the last snow storm) and nothing
falling from the sky. As of 9:30am, nary a flake had
barely been seen, yet schools were closed for the day. Are
administrators bending over backwards to avoid lawsuits or
looking out for our safety? It's a fine line they walk.

YMCA Coming to Middletown or Urbana?
Officials with
the Frederick County YMCA are considering opening a branch in
Middletown or Urbana, and if they choose they latter, they would
close their rented storefront on Fingerboard Road in Monrovia.
"It would be too close together," said David Markoe, president
of the Frederick County YMCA. "It would be kind of crazy to have
two facilities within five or six or eight miles."
